Chely Wright en haar vrouw zijn afgelopen zaterdag verblijd met de geboorte van een tweeling. De geboorte stond gepland voor juli maar de twee zijn eerder gehaald. Chely en Lauren Blitzer hebben de jongetjes Everett en George genoemd. 

Het stel trouwde in augustus 2011, een jaar nadat Chely uit de kast kwam.

Taylor Swift was afgelopen zaterdag de grote winnaar bij de Billboard Music Awards. Taylor was genomineerd voor 11 Awards en ging uiteindelijk met 8 Awards naar huis.

Ze werd winnaar in de categorieen Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Digital Song Artist, Top Country Artist, Top Country Album (“Red”), Top Billboard 200 Album en Top Country Song “We Are Ever Never Getting Back Together”.

They join country superstars Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Pistol Annies and Taylor Swift, who were confirmed as performers last week. The singer sang "22" surrounded by a rotating cast of dozens of backup dancers before accepting honors for Top Artist, Top Album and more.

Swift was nominated for 11 awards in all, but lost to Maroon 5, Justin Bieber and Psy in the Top 100 Artist, Top Social Artist and Top Streaming Song categories, respectively. While Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood were also nominated for awards, only Swift brought a trophy back to Nashville. She swept the country categories, including Top Country Artist, Top Country Album ("Red") and Top Country Song ("We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together").
